Tharpyna species |
(Pawel Szymkowiak has indicated it is a Tharpyna species and it is now suggested to be Tharpyna venusta)
female: perhaps 5 mm|
male: perhaps 3 mm
Resting on or under leaves or in flowers or perhaps on lighter coloured bark
This spider is almost certainly too small to be a significant hazard to humans
Distinguishing characteristics of this species are its overall body shape, which is also typical of many Tharrhalea species, its colour scheme
and especially the dimpled appearance of its upper abdominal surfaces.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Some Tharrhalea species, although most members of this genus are green.
